Gown, Evening [realia]. 1920 circa

Evening gown is made of white silk overlaid with net embroidered with flowers in silver. Over the net there is an asymmetrical band of white velvet gathered at the waist that hangs down from the waistline in four panels. The back two panels are long and have weights at the ends. The front panels have large, faceted black beads and smaller, black seed beads in a flower and diamond pattern. There is fur and three beaded X-shapes at the bottom of each. A dark green velvet sash accents the waist. There are metal hook-and-eye fasteners in the back. Wide shoulder straps are made of white silk with cream-colored net overlay. The straps are gathered at the top.
